Alaska Mileage Plan
OneWorld · partner award charts · stopover on one-ways
Why we recommend it
Alaska Airlines joined OneWorld in 2021 and publishes fixed partner award charts for most of its routes. Best sweet spots: Cathay Pacific first class at 70k miles, JAL business class at 60k for trans-Pacific, and the ability to add a stopover on one-way partner awards for free. Mileage Plan is also generous on mileage earning for paid tickets.

Alaska Mileage Plan: The Best Partner-Award Chart in 2026
Alaska Mileage Plan joined oneworld in 2021 and became a full member in 2024 — and kept its distance-based partner chart. Here's how to use JAL First for 75k and Cathay Business for 50k.
- Program at a glance
- The distance-based partner chart
- Earning Alaska miles as a non-Alaska flyer
- Elite tiers
- Alaska vs other US oneworld / Pacific flyer options
- Who should use Alaska Mileage Plan as primary partner-award currency
How we evaluated Alaska Mileage Plan
- Sampled 20+ award routes at saver level, monthly, over the last 90 days
- Compared partner pricing against every other Star / OneWorld / SkyTeam currency the route is bookable through
- Verified change / cancellation rules against the current program terms
- Cross-referenced with The Points Guy and God Save the Points trip reports
Last re-verified 2026-04-01. We re-check each listing on a 90-day rolling cadence; when a program slips, the rating drops here before it drops anywhere else. How we work.
